 "Watch it Bill!"Jenna shot down the fighter that was on her boyfriend's tail,before pulling a loop and taking out another fighter that had been pulling up behind her.
 "Thanks Jen!"Bill shot down an enemy of his own,watching with satisfaction as it crashed into the ground below,exploding.
 He scanned the skies,empty.Husky and Bulldog squadrons had cleared out the enemy.
 "Husky and Bulldog units,return to the base,"Bill dropped beside Jenna,"How are ya over there?"
 "Fine Bill,"She laughed,"They couldn't hit the broad side of a barn,let alone me!"
 Bill smiled.He liked the sound of her voice,ever since he had met her five months ago..They had been going out for only a few months,but he felt like he had known her much longer.She was awesome,outgoing and tough.But more,she loved to fly,like him.He knew he would have to get her into his jet with him and double pilot together very soon.
 They came in for a landing,groundcrew directing them in.Afterwords Bill dismissed his squadrons.He and his fellow pilots had done well,they hadn't lost anyone...yet.
 Jenna came up behind him,covering his eyes with her paws,"We've got a team to get back with.I think it's time we hand over Husky and Bulldog to someone else and get with StarFox."
 Bill didn't try to pull her paws away,"I know,so does General Pepper.We've got to clear our quarters today,and take leave."
 "Sounds like a plan,"She dropped her paws from his eyes and wrapped him in a hug,"I'll see you tonight then Billy."
 "Why do you call me that?"
 "What?"
 "Billy."
 "Cause I think it sounds cute and I know its bugs you,"She gave him a peck on the lips and headed for her quarters.
 He watched her leave,and went to do the same.

 Later that evening,several miles outside the main base,Fox and Falco were playing a game of one on one basketball.They had set up a rim near GreatFox,just to pass some time.
 "So,You and Fara are getting rather close,"Falco blocked Fox as he attempted a basket.
 "Yeah,so?"Fox spun around to try and loose him,and scored a three pointer.
 "So,you got plans for later on?"
 "Like....."Fox passed him the ball.
 "Like marrying her,sweeping her off her feet,carrying her off in style?"Falco pulled some fancy footwork and dunked the ball.
 By this time both were breathing hard,and called a time out.
 "I've considered it,why?"
 "Just wonderin'.Have a plan as of when you'll pop the question?"
 "Hell,I don't know,soon."
 "Boy,that narrows it down for me."
 "Well,what about you and Katt?"
 "Hey hey,time out,I don't know Katt as well as you know Fara,give me some time,"Falco took a deep breath.
 Fox smiled,"Bill hasn't known Jenna for hardly three months and already he's thought abouth the same question you just asked me."
 "What's wrong with that.He's crazy about her,she loves him.They're a great match."
 "Don't you love Katt?"
 "Duh!"
 "Well,I can't see why you can't think about it,marriage I mean?"Fox wiped his brow,looking at his friend.
 He saw that Falco had become a little uncomfortable.Falco cleared his throat,"There are a couple reason you wouldn't understand."
 Fox was about ready to ask about his strange answer when he spotted Fara coming from the mothership.She had a couple sodas,"I thought you guys would like a drink.You look a little worn out."
 "Thanks Fara,"Falco took a soda.
 "Thanks,"Fox gave her a quick kiss.She giggled.
 Katt joined them,"Hey!Ya guys better come on back,General Pepper has a message for us and it's pretty urgent!"
 "What?"Fox dashed for GreatFox,the others after him.
 Peppy was at the bridge with Rob64 when they got there.The hare looked worried,"This isn't good Fox!We keep loosing contact!"
 They all watched the screen flash and go static,before a hazy image of Pepper appeared,"Fox!We need help here!Andross has attacked the base!We have hardly any pilots up to defend us here!"
 Everyone watched the room shake and Pepper hold nearly fall,steadying himself at the last moment,"If we loose this base,Corneria City will be open to and attack!We need help here Starfox!We need-"
 The picture went dead.
 "Oh my God....."Fox hastily pulled on his jacket and com-link,"Let's move people!We've got a battle to attend!"
 Everyone dashed down the corridor,to the docking bay.Climbing into their fighters,and strapping themselves in,StarFox shot out into the open sky.
 "What about Slippy and Kim!?!What about Lily!?!"Fara dropped beside Fox.
 "Kim and her daughter are at her parents!"Fox put on more boost,"As for Slippy,you know where he is!"
 Everyone suddenly remembered.Slip had gone to the base hours earlier to check out some of the new prototypes that had come in.He was probably already in the air fighting.
 "Bill and Jenna will be there too!Com'on,we've gotta move!Give it everything you've got!!!"

  "Let's move huskies!!Move!!!"Bill watched in horror as his squadron was being knocked out of the sky one by one.
 Ememies swarmed around them.The base seemed to be covered in a blanket of death.Hardly any pilots could make it off the ground,most being shot down before even leaving the runway.
 Jenna pulled a loop to shoot down a fighter on her tail,and assisted one of her squadron with two on his tail,"We're outnumbered here Billy!There's too many of them!"
 "We won't abandon the base!We have to hold out till the rest of our team arrives!!"Bill dipped in behind another fighter,shooting him down.
 Jenna's blue fighter shot past him to meet another squadron of enemies as they dropped in to attack.
 A sudden spray of fire jolted his fighter.He cursed himself,he hadn't been paying attention.
 His opponent just as suddenly as he appeared exploded and Slippy's arwing shot through the flames and smoke,"Better pay attention Bill!Could cost you your life!!!"
 "Thanks man!I nearly got fried!"Bill barrel-rolled and took down two more enemies.
 Jenna twisted her jet skyward.She had bitten off more than she could chew,prevoking and entire squadron of enemies to give chase.
 "Oh crap!"She veered hard,between two jacked outcrops of rock.Stone scraped her cockpit as she shot out the other side.Here opponents weren't so lucky,crashing into the outcrops like a stack of dominos one by one.She let out a whoop,before looping back to get into the battle.
 "Well well well!!Look who's here!!!"Slippy yelled happily as the rest of his team dropped from the clouds and into the fray.
 "Mess with this base huh?Big mistake!!!!"Katt dipped low and shot down a group of fighters about to knock another cornerian pilot down trying to make it off the runway.Thanks to her he did,saluting to her and zipping up to join the fight.More pilots followed him up.
 Fox weaved through the crowded sky,shooting down several fighters that he had singled out.Peppy glided by him,a fighter on his tail.Fox shot it down,smiling as he watched the veteran turn sharply to make two enemies collide.
 Fara looped,dropping in behind a group of fighters that had been on her tail,knocking them from the sky,winging another that had been on Jenna's tail.
 "Thanks Fara!"Jenna shot down another fighter.
 Falco was doing what he usually did to his apponents,flying circles around them before shooting them down.He looped and dived,before banking sharply to cause two enemies to smash into the ground.
 Andross' swarm of enemies began to dwindle,the tables had turned.StarFox along with the surviving Corneria pilots,chased the remaining fighters away from the base and the city.
 Fox opened his com-link to his entire team and heard them whistling and cheering.Despite some pretty dark odds,they had turned Andross away.He smiled,"Is everyone alright?"
 "We all check out baby!"Fara laughed,her voice making him feel relieved.
 "Alright then,let's land and see how the base faired,"Fox dropped down.They landed soon afterword.
 General Pepper greeted them.He was covered in dust and there was a ragged cut across his forhead.He sighed and shook with each of them,"Thanks Fox,all of you.The base would have been lost with out you."
 "Would you like some airsupport till you can get reorganized,"Fox was concerned.Pepper looked like he could pass out at any moment.
 "No...no Fox.We've got reinforcementscoming from a supporting base close to here.You can head back to GreatFox,and thank-you."
 "Yes sir,"Fox watched him climb into a jeep with an escort and drive down to the main tower.He turned back to his team,"I don't know about you,but I've had all the fighting I want for tonight.Who wants to head back to GreatFox?"
 His whole team nodded.
 "Then lets go,"
 As everyone climbed into their fighters,Bill looked over his own jet.It had been damaged pretty badly,and wasn't safe to fly in.Now what would he do?
 Jenna tapped his shoulder,he turned,"You can fly with me Billy,if ya don't mind sharing a seat."
 He smiled,"No problem,that's fine with me.But what about my jet?"
 "We'll come back for it and get it repaired tomorrow,"She let him climb up first,and followed after him,"Okay,so how are we gonna do this...um..."
 He smiled slyly,and pulled her down onto his lap,"How about this way?"
 She laughed,"A little crowded,you'll be the one piloting,I'm the passenger this time."
 She made him strap in first,and partially strapped in with him,"Now don't you go turning upsidedown or any crazy stunts.I don't want to crack my head on the top of the cockpit."
 "I know,I know,"He reached about her to bring the jet to life,and shot down the runway after their team.
 "I thought we were gonna loose someone,"She let her head tilt back slightly against his chest.
 "So did I,"He turned gently after the others,"Get scared?"
 "Of course I was.I get scared every time I go up in my jet and fight.I thinks it's the sense of knowing you could loose someone very dear to you."
 "Or they could loose you,"He made her turn slightly to meet his gaze.He brushed her cheek with his thumb,catching some of her soft curled hair in his fingers.
 Jenna felt her heart begin to beat faster.Caught up in the moment,she held her breath,and closed her eyes.
 Bill kissed her tenderly.
